The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the prevalent education system to the wall, enabling technology to become the new normal of distance learning. Teachers were quick to adapt to an almost overnight change and pooled in extra hours to help their students stay focused, ensuring the quality of teaching remained top-class.
To recognize the hard work of the educators in this difficult transition, Brainly, the world's largest online learning platform for students, teachers, and parents, has announced the ‘Shikshak of the Year 2020’ awards. It honours all educators who have gone above and beyond the set standards to make a difference in the lives of their students. Shikshak of the Year 2020 is sponsored by Prosus Ventures (formerly Naspers Ventures), which is the main partner for the awards.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Bysani, CPO of Brainly
said, “All teachers have gone an extra mile to ensure that students don't fall behind. They have left an indelible mark on our memories and we can never forget their contribution and thank them enough for the role they play in shaping our lives. Shikshak of the Year is an initiative that aims to recognise their contribution for and beyond academics.”
