JET Returns To Growth

Group Announcement

Orders return to year-on-year growth for the first time in 55 months; iFood holds market share at more than 80%

Prosus today marked an early milestone since acquiring Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET), with orders returning to growth after 55 months of decline. In a letter to investors, CEO Fabricio Bloisi said that JET would focus on expanding growth and working to make every order more profitable. In Brazil, iFood continues to lead despite intense competition, holding around 80% of the app market share. Read the full letter here.

"2026 is a year of execution. Our priorities are clear: build the best food delivery operation in the world, and innovate as a global technology leader. JET's return to growth is an early sign that we are on the right track, and our playbook, based on innovation, is having a major impact. Now our focus is on maintaining this trajectory and improving profitability.”

Fabricio Bloisi, Prosus CEO

From -9% to growth

When Prosus took control of JET in December 2025, orders were falling 9% year-on-year. Prosus embarked on a radical transformation of the business, which has included an intense focus on technology, logistics, product, customer experience and marketing. The early results are positive and we expect these gains to compound over time.

Now JET’s user numbers are growing and we will keep improving it. This is the playbook executed successfully in Brazil: invest, test, learn, then drive cost leadership through technology.

iFood: fighting for Brazil, and winning

Despite intense competition, iFood has kept around 80% of the app market share in Brazil and is successfully defending its position as market leader. Over the past 18 months, rivals have spent heavily to acquire new customers, but iFood has held its ground by focusing on cost leadership, building a strong ecosystem, and being a growth engine for merchants.

iFood’s product “Hits”, offering cheaper food for millions of customers, grew  70% against the prior six months, whilst staying focused on long-term cost leadership through technology and operating efficiency.

iFood has diversified its business substantially beyond Food Delivery, with Non-Food Delivery units growing revenues at more than 50% year on year, and now responsible for ~40% of revenues.

The data shows that iFood is a growth engine for merchants. Restaurants that choose iFood as their key delivery channel outgrow their peers by 30 percentage points annually on average and are 60% less likely to go out of business.

The wider Prosus ecosystem: growing and profitable

Across the rest of the Prosus portfolio, OLX is growing strongly and profitably, Despegar is growing more than 20%, and PayU is profitable and scaling. Together these businesses give Prosus earnings strength as it invests in JET and iFood to build stronger, more defensible and faster-growing businesses for the long term.
