Mark Rutte, prime minister of the Netherlands, opens new global headquarters of Prosus in Amsterdam

Amsterdam, 18 November 2019: Prosus, the global consumer internet group and one of the largest technology investors in the world, welcomed today Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, who visited Prosus's global Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning team and opened the company’s new global headquarters in Amsterdam. Prosus listed on Euronext Amsterdam in September 2019, becoming Europe’s largest listed consumer internet company and one of the top ten consumer internet companies globally.
 
Prosus focuses on long-term value creation by building leading companies that improve people’s daily lives in high-growth markets. It is a strategic investor and an operator of fast-growing consumer internet businesses, particularly focused on online classifieds, payments and fintech, and food delivery in markets including India, Russia and Brazil. Its ventures arm, with on-the-ground teams in markets across the world, pursues new growth opportunities for the group and in recent years has made early stage investments in numerous sectors including edtech and health. Prosus is part of the Naspers Group, which has had a long association with the Netherlands since first establishing its presence in Amsterdam in the early ‘90s when it built out its former European pay-TV operations.
