Fabricio Bloisi Named Brazil’s 2025 Person of the Year by Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce

Fabricio is recognized for his extraordinary leadership and contributions to strengthening global business ties between Brazil and the U.S.

Prosus, a global technology company, today announced that Group CEO Fabricio Bloisi has been named Brazil’s 2025 Person of the Year by the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce. The annual award program recognizes two exceptional business leaders—one from Brazil and one from the United States—who have played a pivotal role in strengthening ties between the two nations.

With this achievement, Fabricio joins a distinguished list of global leaders in business and international collaboration; with previous honorees including President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, President Bill Clinton, Minister Henrique Meirelles, and Henry Kissinger.

Fabricio is an entrepreneur with a proven track record and deep expertise in both the Brazilian and U.S. business ecosystems. He is, at his core, an innovator with roots in operating, building and scaling world-class technology companies within growth markets. Appointed CEO of Prosus and Naspers Group in May 2024, he oversees a global portfolio serving over two billion customers in multiple sectors across marketplaces and ecommerce, with ambitious goals to further cement Prosus as a major e-commerce investor.

Before assuming the Group CEO role at Prosus, Fabricio was CEO of iFood, one of Brazil’s most known and well-loved brands. Fabricio acquired iFood in 2013 when it was a 20-person start-up and grew it rapidly and profitably to become Brazil’s leading food delivery company. Today, iFood holds over 80% of the food delivery market share in Brazil and processes more than 100 million orders monthly.

"Mr. Bloisi's ability to identify transformative technologies and drive innovation in emerging markets has led to remarkable success for both him and the companies he’s invested in,” said Will Landers, President and Chairperson of the Board of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce. “His vision bridges the Brazilian and U.S. business landscapes, fostering collaboration and creating opportunities for cross-regional growth. Fabricio’s leadership and commitment to supporting entrepreneurship in Brazil, alongside his global investment strategies, have created lasting change—perfectly aligning with the Chamber's values. We are excited to announce him to the distinguished list of honorees."

Fabricio will be honored at the 2025 Gala, which will take place at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, on Wednesday, May 14th. Over 1,000 leaders from the international business, financial, and diplomatic communities will convene in New York City to pay tribute to the honorees.
