From Brazil’s startup roots to leading one of the world’s largest tech companies, Fabricio Bloisi’s journey shows how innovation built ‘Elsewhere’ can go global

Endeavor today honored Fabricio Bloisi, CEO of Prosus and Naspers, at its annual Gala in New York, recognizing his extraordinary journey as an entrepreneur and leader shaping global technology and innovation.

Fabricio launched Movile in Brazil in 1998 — at a time when the country’s startup ecosystem had little capital, infrastructure, or global attention. He grew Movile into Latin America’s largest mobile commerce group and, in 2013, championed an early investment in iFood, then a 20-person startup.

Under his leadership, Movile scaled iFood rapidly and transformed it into Brazil’s market leader in food delivery. In 2019, Fabricio stepped in as CEO of iFood, guiding the company through its next phase of hypergrowth and cementing its position as one of the most successful technology platforms in Latin America. Today, iFood processes millions of orders daily and has redefined how consumers, restaurants, and couriers connect in the region, and serves as a successful case study for the food delivery industry overall.

Now, as CEO of Prosus and Naspers, Fabricio leads one of the world’s largest technology companies, powering leading lifestyle e-commerce brands across Latin America, Europe, and India. Prosus companies reach more than 2 billion customers and generate over US$6 billion in annual revenue. Through its ecosystem approach, Prosus connects technology platforms. Its regional ecosystems are anchored by a high frequency food delivery business such as iFood, JET or Swiggy, with additional consumer platforms spanning fintech, classifieds, travel, events and mobility. By sharing data, insights, and AI capabilities across its portfolio, Prosus drives engagement, strengthens customer loyalty, and compounds value over time.

The recognition from Endeavor comes at a moment when Prosus continues to deepen its presence globally. Notably, most recently with its Brazilian Depositary Receipt (BDR) listing on B3, the Brazilian stock exchange, expanding access for local investors to participate in its global growth story, and through continued ecosystem wins across Europe and India.
