Prosus Ventures Invests US$3m In Voa Health Seed Round To Advance Its AI-Powered Assistant For Healthcare Providers
Founded by doctors turned entrepreneurs, the funding will accelerate team expansion, product development, and marketing growth as Voa Health streamlines medical documentation and combats physician burnout
Prosus Ventures has invested US$3m in seed funding in Voa Health, an AI-powered assistant that automates clinical documentation. The investment will fuel product enhancements, team expansion, and the scaling of marketing efforts, reinforcing Voa’s position as a leader in AI-driven healthcare efficiency.
Founded less than a year ago by Fillipe Loures and Solano Todeschini, Voa Health already has over 20,000 registered doctors and processes more than 80,000 consultations per month—cutting documentation time by over 80%. By tackling one of the leading causes of burnout among healthcare professionals—clinical bureaucracy—Voa has achieved an annualized revenue of R$2.5m.
The company’s founders bring a unique combination of medical and business expertise to the AI-driven healthcare space. Fillipe Loures, formerly CIO of MedSênior, is a seasoned family doctor with deep experience across both public and private healthcare systems. Solano Todeschini, a graduate of UFPR-BR, was previously recruited by Anterior, a Sequoia-backed healthtech startup in London. The two met while working together for nearly two years, solving complex challenges in the healthcare sector. Recognizing AI’s transformative potential, they built Voa’s MVP and committed full-time to scaling the business, securing early angel investment.
"We are transforming the experience of healthcare professionals, reducing bureaucracy and allowing them to focus their attention on what really matters: the patient, thus improving the quality of care and promoting a more humanized and efficient environment in the healthcare sector," says Solano Todeschini, co-founder and CEO of Voa Health.
Voa Health’s AI technology is solving a long-standing challenge in healthcare: processing unstructured data—including medical images, exam PDFs, and, most critically, doctor-patient conversations. By leveraging generative AI and its proprietary model, the platform automates traditionally manual documentation processes, allowing doctors to spend more time with patients and less time on administrative work.

“At Prosus Ventures, we are excited to invest in Voa Health as it addresses a critical need within Brazil’s massive healthcare sector, which contributes approximately 10% of the country’s GDP. With the sector ripe for innovation, particularly in the wake of recent regulatory shifts and the rise of tech-savvy entrepreneurs, Voa’s AI-driven solution is uniquely positioned to reduce administrative burdens and tackle physician burnout—two significant challenges in the healthcare space. As AI becomes a game-changer in healthcare, we see tremendous potential for Voa to lead the way in transforming both the efficiency and quality of care in Brazil and beyond,” says Rafael Barbalat, Latam Investment Principal at Prosus.
