Women-led businesses in India are a rapidly growing segment of the economy, comprising roughly one-third of the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) and providing employment to over 20 million people. However, women-led startups receive less than 1% of total venture capital funding in India. Prosus and Encubay are looking to challenge that trend with the Prosus Found-HER Challenge India.
The Prosus Found-HER Challenge is a high-impact selection program designed to support women-led technology startups and champion female founders, and has already supported nearly 1,300 women founders across India and Africa. The program offers equity-free funding, access to Prosus' international network, and the scaling expertise of our program Partners.
Through the program we aim to empower communities of female founders who are reshaping the technology landscape around the world.
